Favorite Musical Dance!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5xxSRvl5VM

I really like this Musical ever since I was young. I always used to love this song, and still do. Moreover, I love the song as well. The way how they have power movements and all those pink ladies matching their dance moves was amazing. Moreover, even though their movements seemed very simple, at the same time, it was very powerful. Due to this, I really loved watching this again, and maybe I'll use one of these dances in the choreography!

Comparison for Humanities

By the time I reread my old argumentative essay, "Shut Down your Screen" Week, I was very surprised, because I had no memory in working on this essay. However, after some time, and while I kept reading, my memory started to come back! I felt like this even passed so long ago, but 8th grade just passed too fast!

What I learned during the Argumentative Writing process, is that I feel like as time goes on, my writings gets more formal and mature. Not only that, but I really liked the way that I put a lot of examples (Not saying that I didn't have any examples before). Anyways, I definitely know that I learned that I should give examples and if I used some kind of journal, or internet, that I should site it in the writing too. For example, I can say "according to....". Being more specific, I can see that I improved since now I know that you can't start a sentence with a But but I did in this piece of writing: "But because we have this fascinating source..." Not only that, but I found myself using a lot of the same transitions, and also repeating some information. All in all, this is what I think I improved in the Essays, and already I can see that I have gotten better. Maybe by the end of 8th grade, I could improve even more! :)

Group Dance Reflection (Written together)

In this assignment, we had to create a dance with different components like hand movements, using space, choosing a prop, etc. We were allowed to pick our partners and have two classes to create the dance. We first started by choosing the song. Then, after when we finished listening to the song, we chose the part we wanted. We started dancing after all of that was done. In this project we didn’t only work to make a dance, but we had fun and became friends.
Even though we aren’t great dancers, but the main thing we wanted was to have fun. We chose the song Timber by voting with each other. The song timber has a theme of a cowgirl, so our prop, and the hats were based on the theme. Each of us created moves for the dance, and we helped each other to understand the moves and made sure that everyone got to be in the middle at some point. Our song is for people who wants to dance, but don’t know how to. Just enjoy and have fun!
We found our inspiration by laughing and enjoying while making the moves. Sometimes when we did a funny, or weird dance move, it turned out to be a very amazing one and we would add it to our dance. An example is when we  incorporated the hats into the dance because our whole dance was done when we remembered the prop. We began to play around and actually put what we did in the routine. Our challenges were coordinating everything at the same time and passing down the hats. We had lots of fun creating our choreography.
In the end, although the other girls created intricate dances with tricks, we had an awesome time. We hope that others like it, and remember next time, when you create a dance just have a good time with friends, and it doesn’t need to perfect. Having fun is the first thing, then to make it look good in the second thing to do! :)

I was very nervous before the dance started, however after, it got better! Thank god I didn't forget the hat part. Phew~ There were some parts to be better at, but overall I don't think we did too bad. However, we could have improved on doing the movements more precise. I would love to do this kind of activity again!

Dance Crew Reflection

I was very nervous before our dance started, however after sometime, it got better! I’m really happy that I didn’t forget to take out the hat. While we were practicing, I always forgot to get the hat out. Due to that someone always had to remind me, however in the final dance, I didn’t forget which I was so happy about! After we finished, I felt god because it was over, and quite satisfied as well.
Moving on, I believe that the strongest part of our dance was when we had to take out our hats, and do the hand movements while Isabel did the other main movement. It was the part where we practiced the most as well. I’d have to say that the most challenging part was as mentioned before, the hand movements, and taking out the hat too. Practicing for that part took me quite a time, and I had to get a lot of help.
Our group did an okay job at our dance. I mean we weren’t the perfect, best ones, but we tried our hardest. The best part was when we started the dance. I think that was the part where we did a good job. On the other hand, we still had to improve on getting our movements very precise.
When we were practicing, we all worked as a group, which I am so happy about. I think we were a very nice group, plus we tried to make our dance fair and let the member of our group stay in the middle at least once. If someone couldn’t do a certain movement, we tried to change it so that it would still match our performance, but look cool at the same time.
Making our different dance moves was the most challenging aspect of our group. In the first class, we took some time choosing the song, and only got a few movements for our dance done. However, when we looked at others, they already chose a good song, and had even more dance moves than we did. I was kind of worried that we were behind, however we worked very hard, and got to our end. I believe what made us slower in thinking was because we kept thinking about the requirements and thought, “what could we put more about the hand movements? We need some kind of same movements going on, different movements as well, etc.” If we were doing this again, I think we would practice more to make our movements more precise. Also, to make even more interesting movements.
Overall, I really enjoyed making our own dance moves, and the best part was finishing our dance, and also watching the others! It was so fun watching, and I think the other group did an amazing job. I would love to do this activity some time again! :)
